What is the MTEL?
The Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure.

There are three tests required for educators in the state of MA:

    1. Communication & Literacy (Reading & Writing Portions)
    2. General Curriculum
    3. Foundations of Reading

S & R provides study packets for these three tests, along with a helpful brochure including study tips and exam details. You can learn more and sign up for the test(s) at the Massachusetts Department of Education website below. In addition, students can make an appointment at

S & R for extra help and study tips for passing these required tests.
