Mentor Program Letter

Dear Friends:

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for supporting the Afro-American Alumni Association Awards dinner which took place in October.  It mean a great deal to our students to have so many of our alumni share in the celebration of their academic achievement.  It was a wonderful evening, and I sincerely hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did.

At the same time, I am happy to tell you that we are enhancing our minority mentoring program-a program that has my full support!  It is such a terrific way to help our upperclassmen make the transition from college to career.

If you are interested in becoming a part of this program, please complete a mentor profile form.  This information will help us match program participants with interested mentors.  Rest assured that we appreciate your busy schedule, and no mentor will be paired up with more than two students.  The Office of Alumni Relations and the Afro-American Alumni Association will host a dinner on campus in early March, at which time you will learn more about program logistics.

Mentoring does not consume a great deal of time, but will surely make a world of difference to the students you will meet.  I hope you will join others who have already participated in the enriching activity of being a mentor.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail the Director of Alumni Relations, Candace Maguire at cmaguire@bridgew.edu.

Sincerely,
Dana Mohler-Faria
President
