As with other brand elements, the consistent use of typography is critical to the effectiveness of the Bridgewater State University brand. To maximize readability and maintain consistency between publications, the primary typeface for the college is the serif font Bembo. The Bembo family offers various weights and styles from which to choose.
The secondary typeface for the college is Frutiger, a sans serif font that also has various weights and styles. Examples of Bembo and Fruitger can be found on pages 22 and 23 of the college’s Style Guide and Graphic Standards Manual.
For a copy of these fonts and installation instructions, contact the Office
of Institutional Communications, which maintains institutional licenses for
both fonts.
