You are invited to participate in a Massachusetts Council for Economic Education (MCEE) two-stage professional development opportunity.
The Virtual Economics CD-ROM and/or the Learning, Earning and Investing curriculum will be distributed at those workshops and PDPs will be awarded by MCEE. Each of the two packages normally costs $150.
If you register for either or both packages by November 22nd , we will provide you with the necessary information to access the online modules. Please complete your work by December 1st.
Virtual Economics Online Professional Development Package (Online Module + CD-ROM)
The Virtual Economics Online Training Module includes:
· an online training component that details the strategies and techniques needed to successfully use Virtual Economics to teach K-12 economics and personal finance, and
· the Virtual Economics CD-ROM, which contains a database of over 1,200 lesson plans.
The online module is 1 to 3 hours long, and the Virtual Economics CD-ROM has over 1,200 lesson plans in a searchable database, as well as concept demonstrations for 51 key economics and personal finance principles.
You'll watch K-12 teachers use the Virtual Economics CD-ROM to find lessons, and use them with their students. You'll also see economic educators teach the strategies and pedagogy.
After completing the module, you'll have fresh ideas that you can use in your classroom immediately. Most importantly, you'll be able to quickly find the proven lesson plans that teach your students the crucial economics, personal finance and entrepreneurship skills they need to be successful in school, work and life.
Learning, Earning and Investment Online Professional Development Module Package
The Learning, Earning and Investing Online Training Module includes:
· an online training component that details the strategies and techniques needed to successfully teach your students about the financial markets, and
· the popular Learning, Earning and Investing curriculum.
The online module is 4 to 6 hours long, and the Learning, Earning and Investing printed program uses 23 supplemental lesson plans to detail how the financial markets function, from stocks to bonds to mutual funds, and everything in between.
If you want to teach your students about the financial markets, this online module gives you the training and lesson planning resources to make sure your students take advantage of investment opportunities when they reach adulthood.
