Greetings from the Center for International Engagement.
Bridgewater State University has taken a new and important step to connect our students, faculty and indeed the entire southeastern Massachusetts region to the world. We now live in a global community marked by billions of Internet connections each day, the constant movement of goods and services from country to country and most importantly the growing interest of people around the world to learn from each other, especially on a college campus.
The Center for International Engagement is committed to creating and fostering a learning environment where students and faculty from foreign countries interact with our own students and faculty to help make Bridgewater State University a truly global campus. At the Center, the Offices of Global Studies, International Student Services, and Study Abroad will coordinate this new and important initiative and provide the campus community with opportunities for academic programs, travel, research, and community service.
Internationalizing the campus is an exciting development at Bridgewater and one that we in the Center are anxious to move forward. As we say at the Center, our task is to "open doors to the world."
