The Washington Center Internship Program

Work and live in one of the most exciting cities in the nation and earn Bridgewater State University credit for your semester or summer internship experience.

Since spring 1998, more than 90 Bridgewater State University students have experienced the exceptional opportunities available through The Washington Center.  The program provides internships for students of all majors.  Placements are available in government offices, communication organizations, law firms, trade and professional associations, human rights groups, and a host of other organizations in the DC area.

Sample sites include:

Library of Congress            U. S. Department of Justice
National Endowment for the Arts   The World Bank
Environmental Protection Agency   America's Most Wanted
National Geographic   CNN

The cost of participation in TWC's program is comparable to the cost of one semester's tuition, fees and student housing at Bridgewater State University.  To make it possible for state college/university students to participate, the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education provides a special grant for fall or spring and some limited funding for the summer.  To qualify for the funding, you must be a Massachusetts resident student with full-time junior or senior status and a GPA of 3.0 or above.
