Elementary & Early Childhood Education

The mission of the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education is to prepare teacher candidates for their initial licensure in the fields of elementary education and early childhood education.

At the graduate level, we offer a program for classroom practitioners to satisfy the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements for professional licensure at the elementary level. Our graduate programs also prepare experienced educators for positions as consultants and consulting teachers of reading.
