Bills are generated by and paid at the Student Accounts Office. If you have been awarded financial aid prior to receipt of your college bill, aid will be credited directly on your student accounts bill.
If you withdraw from the college during the semester, you may not be eligible for your entire financial aid award.
If you withdraw from any number of classes during the semester, your financial aid package may be adjusted. For example if you drop below 12 credits, your financial aid package may be reduced to that of a part-time student.
For more information, please see our refund policy. It is also very important to review the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy if you are planning on withdrawing from BSU or from any number of classes.
The Promissory Notes and Entrance Counseling requirements must be completed and received in our office prior to one of the following: our deadline, the last day of the semester, the student's last day of enrollment, or prior to dropping below 1/2 time enrollment status - whichever comes first. If you have not completed a required promissory note or entrance counseling by the deadline, the loan will automatically be canceled and in most cases cannot be reinstated. Please check our "Deadlines" page for dates.
Also be aware that if you drop below half time enrollment, and you have a loan that has not yet disbursed, the loan will be canceled. If the loan has disbursed, it may be revised or canceled. You must be at least 1/2 time to receive a Direct or Perkins Loan, and you must be full time to receive a Mass No Interest Loan.
