In celebration of LGBT History Month, the Pride Center is very proud to present Mr. Kye Allums as our keynote speaker.

Kye will chronicle his experience as a college athlete who transitioned from female to male while continuing to compete on the Division 1 NCAA womens basketball team at George Washington University. He will explain what it means to be transgender and the college-specific issues and obstacles he encountered at George Washington University. Kye will also discuss the intersection of his multiple identities as a trans person, a person of color, and a college athlete.

If you are faculty, please encourage your students to attend and perhaps consider offering extra credit to those who do. If you would like to bring students or a class with you, please contact Lee Forest at 508-531-1408 or lisa.forest@bridgew.edu to reserve seats.
