Every April, the GLBTA Pride Center recognizes GLBT Awareness Month with our largest and most successful program--the Rainbow Luncheon.

The topic this year is anti-GLBT violence. Culminating a year-long campus community campaign to counter the pervasive anti-GLBT violence found across the nation, the Rainbow Luncheon will feature Keynote Speaker Jamie Nabozny.  Bringing a personal face to the tragedy of anti-GLBT violence, Jamie is the subject of the recently released and widely acclaimed film, Bullied, produced by the Southern Poverty Law Center. As our keynote speaker, Jamie will discuss the bullying he endured in high school and the legal battle he ultimately won against the school district that looked the other way while he was harassed and assaulted. Jamie's keynote will challenge the roots of anti-GLBT violence and offer ideas on how to take a stand against such violence.
