Gil has been an outstanding educator for many years at Westfield State College. through his work he has supported many science teachers who have gone on to teach thousands of students throughout the Commonwealth. He reached beyond the classroom by his service to state organizations and through his presentations and publications. He led many professional development activities for the benefit of teachers and their students. Gil has always searched for ways to make science real for his students and even in retirement he continues to be a tireless advocate for science education.
