From education to engineering and insurance to industry, individuals with undergraduate or graduate degrees in mathematics continue to be in high demand.

Bridgewater State University’s math department offers three undergraduate mathematics degrees and two minors that provide a strong foundation of knowledge and skills you can leverage in nearly any job sector. We also offer a master’s degree in mathematics that prepares aspiring educators for classroom success and provides already established teachers with advanced tools and techniques for the classroom.

No matter which degree in mathematics or minor you choose, you can expect to benefit from:

  • Faculty with varied expertise in mathematics. BSU’s math department faculty members bring varying backgrounds to the classroom and are conducting research in areas such as combinatorics, pedagogical studies, topology and more. In both our undergraduate and graduate mathematics degrees, you’ll work closely with these scholars as you pursue coursework, fieldwork, research and rewarding professional careers.
  • Cutting-edge facilities. When you pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics from BSU, you will do so in the state-of-the-art Dana Mohler-Faria Science and Mathematics Center. The mathematics department has a dedicated mathematics lab equipped with powerful research computers and an extensive library.
