Leadership Programs provide resources for students to enhance or create many
diverse and exciting leadership opportunities. Our office has books,
articles, videos, and listings of opportunities to enrich leadership
styles and growth for individuals and organizations.
A significant component of the co-curricular educational experience
of BSU students is leadership training. Our leadership programs use
strategies that allow student leaders to develop skills and abilities,
provide opportunities for increased understanding of the group process,
and highlight campus resources. By participating in these multi-faceted
programs, student leaders will be able to make the most of their co-curricular
involvement, and in turn, enhance their overall personal development.
The Leadership summit is a cooperative venture with our partnering institution, Stonehill College. It is held each year at the end of September with a focus on "hands-on" tools for immediate use by students to enhance leadership effectiveness.

In order to accommodate our students' busy lives and their intense interest in developing their leadership skills, the Leadership Institute has been redesigned as a self-directed, self-selected leadership development program in which students participating use campus technology resources and choose degrees of personal involvement with potential mentors. The new Institute combines the best of our previous programs and utilizes technology and choice to afford students an opportunity for participation as well as balance.
The Leadership Institute is offered each Fall. To receive more information, click here and join our Involvement Network page (you must be logged into IN to join the group!).
