The goal of STREAMS is to increase the success of Bridgewater State University science and mathematics majors. STREAMS aims to increase the number of biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics and physics graduates from a current annual average of 120 to over 160. To accomplish this task, STREAMS will

• promote inquiry and group based learning in all the science and math disciplines

• promote undergraduate research throughout the curriculum at all levels

• support a residential learning community

• provide Peer Assisted Learning to most introductory science and math courses

• aid community college students in transferring successfully to BSU

• provide a summer, residential bridge program to jumpstart 16 incoming math and science majors
