Certificate in Forensic Behavior

The Office of Graduate and Continuing Education has continued to examine the shifting needs of the law enforcement community, focusing on a multi-disciplinary approach drawing where relevant from psychology, sociology, criminology and genetics. Working closely with this community in the past year Bridgewater State College has sought to offer new programs and revised curriculum to address specific student needs.

The Certificate in Forensic Behavior is designed for individuals working in human services, criminal justice, or psychology, who desire to achieve a credential demonstrating a level of knowledge about antisocial, aggressive, criminal and violent criminal behavior. For this certificate, students complete four courses. All courses necessary for the certificate are offered online through Bridgewater State College and other participating colleges in Massachusetts Colleges Online

Course Requirements:

This course requires a total of four courses two of which must be taken at Bridgewater State College. The remaining two courses may be taken through Massachusetts Colleges online, at Bridgewater State College or another approved college.

Admissions Information:

  • Applicants must have completed either an Associate's degree or have two years equivalent college experience. Students are required to provide official copies of their transcript with the application.
  • Students must have basic skills. Knowledge of basic email functions and Internet access necessary.
