Who's Who Among Students in
American Universities and Colleges
Class of 2010

About the Program

Each year a select group of students in the senior class is honored through selection to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. This year up to 40 members of the undergraduate class of 2010 will be chosen to receive this award. This honor is conferred by more than 1,900 colleges in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and is symbolized by the presentation of an award certificate.

• Criteria is established by the institution. The established criteria includes honoring outstanding campus leaders for their scholastic and cocurricular achievements, as well as community service.
   
• It is the charge of the college screening and selection committee, comprised of faculty, staff and student body, to identify eligible seniors based on this criterion.  This is accomplished at BSC through a nomination and application process.
   
• Nominations and applications for this recognition program are accepted during the fall semester.

• Nominations are solicited from academic and administrative departments and students are also encouraged to self nominate.

• To be eligible for consideration for the 2009-10 program a student must complete and submit an application (doc) by 5:00 pm on Monday, December 7, 2009.

• Students may only receive this award once. Therefore, individuals selected by Bridgewater State College for recognition in 2009 (doc) are not eligible.
   
• There is no financial commitment required by the students.  Nominees will appear in the 2010 edition of Who's Who, but have no obligation to purchase this publication.
   
• Benefits to student nominees include eligibility for a  Who's Who Scholarship, access to a reference service maintained as a complimentary service to students seeking employment and a worthy accomplishment to include on resume .

• Certificates will be presented at the Student Affairs Awards Program held during Honors Week on, Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
