Getting Started

Congratulations on taking the first step towards a once in a lifetime international experience through the BSU Study Abroad Office! The steps outlined on this page will help guide you through the process of choosing and applying to an BSU study abroad program, so get started and good luck!

  1. Search for study abroad programs by clicking Programs on the top left side of the Study Abroad Office website. There are many programs available, but which one is right for you?

  2. For more information you can attend the Study Abroad Fair held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.

  3. Attend an optional Study Abroad 101 information session. In this session we will cover the basic information that all of our students need to know, including how to choose a program, earning credits on your program, financial aid and scholarships.

  4. For additional information you can make an appointment with an Advisor or peer mentor in the Study Abroad Office. This is a great way to get advice on specific opportunities, address any questions or concerns you might have, and receive more detailed information about any BSU study abroad program.

  5. Visit the Financial Aid Office to discuss how to finance your program costs.

  6. Apply for your program!  Go to the online application or the "Apply Now" button to login and begin your application. Be sure to carefully follow the directions provided and complete all required application materials.
