CLEP at BSU

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a standardized, college credit-granting exam program maintained by The College Board. The CLEP offers 33 exams in five subject areas, covering material taught in courses that you may generally take in your first two years of college. Most CLEP exams are designed to correspond to one-semester courses, although some correspond to full-year or two-year courses.

CLEP Credits Note

Since all colleges and universities have different policies regarding CLEP credit, test candidates should confer with their academic advisors prior to scheduling an appointment for a CLEP exam.

For BSU Students

If you are a Bridgewater State University student, check with your academic or faculty advisor first to be sure the CLEP exam you wish to take fits into your degree audit. BSU Testing cannot provide advice on which CLEP to take; it is the test candidate's responsibility to choose the appropriate exam.
