The CONNECT President's Transfer Program

Each year an increasing number of students apply to public colleges and universities. Admissions officers are forced to turn away qualified applicants due to over enrollment. The CONNECT Executive Board is providing a new admissions opportunity for those students who qualify. The CONNECT Presidents’ Transfer Program enables students to begin their higher education at one of the CONNECT community colleges and continue after graduation with guaranteed admission to Bridgewater State University (BSU), Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) or the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (UMD). You are guaranteed admission to BSU, MMA or UMD, if you meet the following criteria.

  • Nomination by Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts Maritime Academy or University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
  • Enrollment in a Joint Admissions Degree Program
  • Completion of your associate’s degree with a GPA of at least 2.5

Participants in this program will automatically be accepted into the CONNECT Partnership community colleges except for some selective programs such as nursing, dental hygiene, radiologic technology and other specialized training programs. If you have been nominated for this program, contact the Office of Admissions at the community college of your choice. You may access the application by logging on to its Web site using the link listed in the contact information below. Print and return the completed application along with a copy of your nomination letter to the Admissions Office of your selected institution. There is no obligation to transfer to Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts Maritime Academy or University of Massachusetts Dartmouth should you change your mind.
