At BSU, there are a wide variety of venues available for students to orally present their writing and research outside of the classroom:
The Writer's Cafe, sponsored by the Writing Studio and the Academic Achievement Center, features student fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, and academic writing. This event is held biannually in November and April. Contact the Writing Studio for more information.
The Midyear Symposium, sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Research, features the work of first and second year students. This event is held annually in November.
The Undergraduate Research Symposium, sponsored by the Adrian Tinsley Program, showcases research, scholarly, creative and artistic work conducted by undergraduate students in all disciplines. This event is held annually in April.
Do you know of a presentation venue that should be added to this page? Please contact Dr. Michelle Cox.
