Entry Level Staff Accountant Position
Individuals at this level normally have a college degree in accounting or related business field. Staff accountants are expected to:
Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures
Know the rules, regulations and code of professional conduct of the AICPA
Progress professionally by working to obtain their master's degree and pass the CPA exam
If assigned primarily to financial statement engagements:
Become familiar with pronouncements of the FASB and AICPA
Prepare financial statements
If assigned primarily to tax engagements:
Become familiar with pertinent IRC sections and regulations
Prepare corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary and other tax returns
Accounting & Auditing Internships
