Department of Management

Top-notch management makes a difference in the survival and success of any enterprise you can imagine, from a small start-up to the largest corporation in the world. At every level, good managers are needed.

Embedded in a strong liberal arts framework, our management curriculum is designed for students interested in the relationships between business and society – its cultures, economics, ethics and social norms. We impart the skills and knowledge that enable our graduates to assume management responsibilities as they pursue successful business careers.

The department offers a BS degree in Management for students with an interest in general management, marketing, global management, information systems and operations management. We also offer a graduate MBA program that emphasizes leadership and provides in-depth preparation for advanced professional careers.

Management students choose from an extensive array of career paths. The students in our program often gain practical knowledge of a particular career through an internship that provides on-the-job training. These valuable learning experiences, coupled with the university’s position as a regional resource for businesses and industry, offer students significant contact with leaders in the field.
