Request Your PIN!The PIN serves as your identifier to let you access your personal information in various U.S. Department of Education systems. It's like the Personal Identification Number that you get from your bank that enables you to access your account. Because your PIN serves as your electronic signature, you should not give it to anyone. Once you successfully complete a request, we will mail your PIN to you via the U.S. Postal Service. It will take approximately 7-10 days after you request your PIN for you to receive it in the mail.  When you use your PIN, you must type the PIN exactly as it appears on the letter that we send to you. Student Access National Student Loan Data System

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the U.S. Department of Education's central database for student aid.  It receives data from schools, agencies that guaranty loans, the Direct Loan program, the Pell Grant program, and other U.S. Department of Education programs.  NSLDS provides a centralized, integrated view of Title IV loans and Pell grants that are tracked through their entire cycle; from aid approval through closure
