Responsible Conduct of Research

Human Subject Research

All studies by faculty, students or staff that involve human subjects are considered human subjects research by the federal government. This includes everything from clinical trials to surveys, interviews, and observation. Any research -- including masters and doctoral projects -- that calls for participation by people must be approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) before the project can begin.

Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

This is the training site for certification of training in human subject research, animal subject research and responsible conduct of research.
