Graduate Programs

The music department offers music education programs for individuals wishing to earn state licensure for teaching music, K-12.  See the programs listed below.

• Massachusetts Post-Baccalaureate Certification
  
• Accelerated Post-Baccalaureate Certification
  
• Master of Arts in Teaching General Music

A Master of Arts in Teaching has been approved by the university and by the state Department of Education (DOE).  This program is designed to meet the "appropriate master's degree" requirement for professional stage licensure, as set forth in the most recent DOE licensure regulations.
