A wide range of family-centered performing arts featuring well-known entertainers and professionals from the across region will be coming to Bridgewater State University beginning next year as a result of the creation of a Family Performing Arts Center (FPAC), which will offer its inaugural production – Seussical – in January.

Nobel Prizes Explained 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

The Center for the Advancement of STEM Education and the Center for Advancement of Research and Scholarship at Bridgewater State University cordially invite you to Nobel Prizes Explained on Monday, November 2nd from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Dana Mohler-Faria Science and Mathematics Center Auditorium. BSU Faculty members in each of the Nobel Prize categories will explain, discuss and entertain questions on the recently announced prizes in Chemistry, Economics, Literature, Peace, Physics, and Physiology/Medicine. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

Now Dr. Cindy Kane, BSU’s director of student involvement and leadership, has collaborated on a new book aimed at highlighting the contributions of student organization advisers and helping them learn from one another.

Dr. Sandra Faiman-Silva, professor emeritus of anthropology, travelled to Taita, on the coast of Kenya, in early September to deliver donations to Kungu Primary School. Dr. Agnes Mwamb'ombe, who was instrumental in developing BSU's exchange partnership with the University of Nairobi, attended this school.
