Here at Bridgewater there are more than 90 student clubs and organizations that include Greek Life and media groups, in addition to athletics. Opportunities for commuters to engage on campus beyond the classroom also include:
Commuter Student Association
This is a student-run, SGA-funded organization designed for commuter students. The purpose of the club is to discuss commuter issues and topics, advocate for commuter life, and plan programs and activities that foster engagement with the campus. This club is a great way to get involved and network with your peers.
The Office for Commuter Services employs Commuter Assistants who provide commuters with assistance in gaining access to the curriculum and supporting their co-curricular needs. Their primary responsibility is to assist commuters to reach their potential at BSU.
While there are many lounge spaces around campus to hang out in between classes, or meet up with friends, the Commuter Hub is an intentional programmatic space that fosters a supportive and interactive environment for commuters. The Hub is located in the Rondileau Campus Center. Outside designated quiet hours, this space will bring various areas of campus to you.
The majority of our student population at Bridgewater works and as a commuter student we encourage you to look for opportunities to work on campus, which is a great way to connect and learn about campus all while making money.
Lockers are provided on the ground floor of the Rondileau Campus Center for commuter students and are a great service to assist commuters in their day-to-day routine.
The Children’s Center is located on campus and is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. The center provides an educational program for children of BSU students, faculty and staff.
