I'm so excited to be the first class graduating Bridgewater with a university status, January 2011! I've always said that the only element lacking between a state college and university is the name. We do as much, if not more work than a university, and we are challenged in our studies just the same. Congratulations to all on this very much overdue recognition.

University status is not only a name change but also recognizes the work that Bridgewater has been doing for years. Bridgewater's dedication to its faculty, staff, alumni and most of all its students finally paid off. As an alumnus of Bridgewater it makes me proud to call my alma mater a University.
