Wind and Solar Instruments

The Young Wind Sentry Set is Model 03001-5. (instrument at the far left) The set consist of an Anemometer and a Vane. The Anemometer is a cup-wheel assembly. It measures a wind speed range of 0 to 50 m/s (112 mph). It will sustain maximum gust of 60 m/s (134 mph). The threshold (lowest detectable) wind speed is 0.5 m/s (1.1 mph). The Pyranometer is a Model LI200X. (instrument at far right) This instrument measures incoming solar radiation (amount of sunlight). The range is 0 to 3000 watts/meter squared. The light spectrum waveband is 400 to 1100 nanometers. The accuracy is plus or minus 5% of the maximum.
