The Writers' Café provides students with the experience of reading in front of appreciative students and faculty, which, at the same time, exposes their written work to a large, academically diverse audience. Not only is reading work aloud to an audience a gratifying experience, but it also prepares students for future public speaking and looks great on a résumé. The event is free of charge and is open to the entire BSC community.
In the past, students have submitted and read the following genres:
|Submission deadline:||Ten days before event (always on a Friday)|

Spring: First Monday in April
|Event location:||TBA; Check our Facebook page|
If you are selected to read at the Writers' Café, please be sure to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early. Light refreshments will be served, free of charge, and programs will be distributed before 3:15.
