In response to meeting the needs of our 21st-century university that require both focused functionality and professional presentation, Bridgewater State University has created two new Websites - an Intranet and an Extranet - plus an open-access repository for scholarly work. We ask for your patience as replacing the university's 15-year-old Website with our new Web architecture requires careful planning and transition.
The Extranet - http://www2.bridgew.edu - is for decision makers of all types: from prospective students to high-level executives. The site informs the public about our institutional mission, values, messages, as well as our role in the region and beyond. The Extranet has been carefully melded into a single voice and format with a blend of new and existing content.
The Intranet - https://my.bridgew.edu - is the communications, services and collaboration platform for faculty and staff. Built with the goal of empowering employees, it allows for creativity and custom design of departmental sites. Longer term, the Intranet will provide tools to enable the staff to solve their unique problems.
Virtual Commons - http://vc.bridgew.edu/ - is an open-access repository for scholarly works, research, publications, creative activity and reports produced by faculty, students and staff of Bridgewater. Coordinated by Maxwell Library, the Commons promotes discovery, dissemination and preservation of this intellectual capital.
