Academic Advising: Advisors in the Academic Achievement Center are available to help first year, undeclared and transfer undergraduate students meet their academic, personal and career goals.
Honors Program: Through their participation in the Honors Program, students join a community committed to academic success.
Internships: More than 400 students each year participate in internships, enhancing their skills and qualifications for their future jobs.
Study Abroad: This office provides students with the opportunity to enhance their education by taking advantage of any one of 1,000 study abroad programs in 50+ countries all over the world.
Undergraduate Research: At BSU, you don’t have to wait to make a contribution. There are myriad opportunities for students in any major to learn while contributing to original research.
Academic Areas
Colleges and Departments: BSU consists of four academic colleges: the Bartlett College of Science and Mathematics, the College of Education and Health Sciences, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Ricciardi College of Business.
Centers & Institutes: Economic education, democratic governance and leadership, Middle Eastern studies, PreK-12 educational outreach, sustainability, social justice and global engagement are among the areas that our centers and institutes focus on.
Maxwell Library: Maxwell Library is a rich resource for study and research supporting teaching and learning at BSU.
Programs for Pre-College Students
K-12 Engagement: The K-12 Engagement program provides underserved students, beginning in middle school, with a three summer experience at BSU along with year round academic support throughout high school.
EXCEL Program (Formerly ICEI): The EXCEL program at Bridgewater State University is a fully-inclusive postsecondary program for young adults with intellectual disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
