Amy Lovera is a multimedia artist whose works explore the interplay between biographical and fictional narratives. She holds an MFA in photography from Rhode Island School of Design with a certificate in collegiate teaching from Brown University. Her work has been exhibited and published both nationally and internationally, including a screening of an animation at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, a performance at the RISD Museum and a publication in Mexico’s Fine Art Photography journal, Luna Córnea. Professor Lovera has also been awarded grants from Rhode Island’s State Council of The Arts and from the LEF Foundation. Outside of her art practice, she enjoys creating costumes and performing with a local dance company. She also likes cooking delicious food with family and friends and having picnics with her two little girls.
