Dr. Xiaoyang (Tony) Luo joined the Department of Biological Sciences in 2017. His duties involve laboratory preparation and instruction, primarily in Cell Biology and Genetics. Dr. Luo had conducted years of productive research on neurological disorders using an interdisciplinary approach. He combined genetic, molecular cell biology, and biochemical techniques, as well as behavioral studies to investigate the mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia. Dr. Luo has taught various courses including Introductory Biology, General Biology, Human Genetics, and Microbiology. He is passionate about bringing his diverse research expertise and teaching experience into successful laboratory instruction.
