Emma joined the biology department as the Greenhouse Manager in Spring 2023. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from UMass Amherst, with a focus on agricultural sustainability, and her Master of Professional Science degree from Unity College, focusing on sustainability in commercial horticulture. Professionally, Emma has worked predominantly with tropical plants in many different environments and has managed many types of greenhouses of varying sizes. Since starting at BSU, she has worked to curate an interesting and robust plant collection and create an inclusive space for students to appreciate the beauty of plants. Additionally, she facilitates the use of the greenhouse for various research purposes and class visits. Emma is fascinated by plants and is fortunate to continue learning about new plants and plant management techniques.
