Jason A. Edwards is Professor of Communication at Bridgewater State University. His research focuses on presidential communication, U.S. foreign policy, and global political issues. He is the author/editor of The Rhetoric of Official Apologies: Critical Essays, Symbols, Sinners, and Saints: The Rhetoric of American Civil Religion, The Rhetoric of American Exceptionalism: Critical Essays, and Navigating the Post-Cold War World: President Clinton’s Foreign Policy Rhetoric. Additionally, he published over 40 articles and book chapters in venues such as Presidential Studies Quarterly, Rhetoric and Public Affairs, Southern Communication Journal, Communication Quarterly, and the Howard Journal of Communications. He has been recognized as a Distinguished Research Fellow by the Eastern Communication Association and as a Fulbright Specialist by the State Department. He is currently in the early stages of a book that examines the rhetorical contours of America’s role in global affairs.
