Dr. Santore earned a BA in Cognitive Science from the University of Rochester. He then worked for a startup for two years as a software developer, becoming a jack of all software trades as is typical of startup developers. When the startup couldn't make payroll, he returned to graduate school, earning first a Masters and then PhD in Computer Science. Dr. Santore joined the then Math and Computer Science department at then Bridgewater State College in 2004 serving as the inaugural department chair of the newly separated Computer Science department. Since returning to the regular faculty full time he is particularly interested in helping students learn skills that will be usable in the professional software development field.
