Dr. Feodor Gostjev received his doctorate degree in sociology from the University of Miami. His dissertation explored how immigrant entrepreneurship and other forms of immigrant economic activity affect violent crime rates across U.S. counties. Dr. Gostjev's current research focuses on immigration and crime, immigration policy, and methodological issues in measuring ethno-racial diversity at the macro-level. His work has appeared in International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology, The Sociological Quarterly and Sociology of Race and Ethnicity. He also co-authored several book chapters.
