Dr. Kristy Kuhn Donnelly is a part-time faculty member at Bridgewater State University and Stonehill College, teaching various dance technique and theory courses along with dance conditioning and yoga. Prior to moving to MA, Dr. Donnelly was as an artistic collaborator, teacher, and Administrative Director of Community Programs for Gibney Dance in NYC. She had the pleasure of working with Treehouse Shakers, Jenni Hong Dance, Stephan Koplowitz, and other wonderful artists in NYC, in addition to Weber Dance, Prometheus Dance, Audra Carabetta & Dancers, Stephanie Heroux, ACE Entertainment, and Kelly Donovan & Dancers in Boston. In addition to showing choreography here at BSU, Dr. Donnelly’s work has been presented in AK, IL, MA, NY, and PA. She has enjoyed teaching dance, yoga, and/or fitness classes at Bucknell University, Long Island University/CW Post, Nassau Community College, YogaWorks NYC, and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Summer Program (as a member of Gibney Dance). She earned a PhD in Educational Studies from Lesley University, an MFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a BS in Biology and Dance Minor from Bucknell University. Her passion for movement extends into her work as a certified yoga teacher, barre teacher, and personal trainer.
