Dr. Kastrati is an academic with over 14 years of experience in higher education and research, and a banking professional with a decade of central banking service. During her tenure at the central bank, she made significant contributions focusing on economic analyses, financial risk assessments, and the development of new research methodologies. Dr. Kastrati's expertise has allowed her to publish extensively, including a university textbook on Banking Management and Regulation. She designs and lectures a variety of courses in Economics, Finance and Business at higher education institutions both in Kosovo and the United States. Recently, she has launched an initiative to connect Kosovan businesses with U.S. firms, aiming to enhance foreign investment in Kosovo. In addition to her banking and teaching credentials, Dr. Kastrati is dedicated to public engagement and mentorship. In 2022 she has been recognized as the 'Mentor of the Year' by the U.S. Embassy for her work on bridging established professionals with students and young entrants in the professional labor market. A Fulbright Scholar, she has conducted a post-doc research at Duke University tackling critical economic issues, such us unutilized financial and economic resources, contributing valuable insights to the field of applied economics. Dr. Kastrati's commitment to fostering academic curiosity and critical thinking in her students underscores her belief in the transformative power of education. With a strong focus on quality assurance in higher education, she actively works to enhance teaching standards and support students in their career development.
