Dr. Wing-Kai To returns to the History Department in Fall 2024 as Professor of History after serving six years as the Assistant Provost for Global Engagement. His research and teaching specialization focuses on Chinese and Japanese History, Asian American Studies, and international higher education administration. His tenure at the Minnock Institute for Global Engagement since 2015 has prepared him to support faculty and students for advancing international research, education and engagement. At BSU since 1997 Dr. To received his undergraduate and master's degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and PhD degree from the University of California at Davis. He has published about the history of Chinese immigrants in Boston and the earliest Japanese student at BSU. To is active in his service with international education associations, local Asian American communities, and the Rotary organization.
