Gregory Conroy holds a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music where he was awarded academic honors. He studied music composition with Thomas McKinley, George Russell and was also a student of Jimmy Giufree, Ran Blake, Fred Buda, and Bob Moses. He also studied with legendary drum master Alan Dawson. Greg has performed and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, Clark Terry, Bob Mintzer, Milt Hinton, Bob Wilbur, Cecil McBee, Jimmy Giufree, George Russell, George Garzone, John Lockwood, Peter Kontrimas, Phil Grenadier, Greg Abate, Larry Goldings, David "Fathead" Newman, and many more.

He performs regularly around Boston and in the New England area with John Stein, John Harrison trio, John Purcell Quartet, Harvey Diamond Trio, The Walton-Hitchcock Group, The Paula Zeitlin Quintet, Mitch Seidman Trio and many others.
