Kari O'Briant earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Radford University in Radford, Virginia, and her Master of Music Therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has practiced as a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) since 2010. She has experience working with diverse clinical populations across the lifespan, and in a variety of contexts including private homes, schools, community-based programs, family-centered care, assisted living/memory care, and more. Kari's private practice, Discovery Music Therapy, provides individual and group music therapy in Plymouth County and surrounding towns in southeastern Massachusetts.

In addition to her clinical work, she has provided clinical supervision to music therapy students and interns, and currently serves on the Board of the New England Region of the American Music Therapy Association.
