Dr. Williams, along with Teacher in Residence, Allison Daubert, are fellows with the Physics Teacher Education Coalition (PhysTEC) working on improving the quality and quantity of physics teachers graduated by BSU in order to address the nationwide shortage of high school physics teachers. Dr. Williams and Prof. Daubert have grant funding from PhysTEC in order to recruit and train future physics teachers. Dr. Williams’ research focus is on increasing the recruitment of future physics teachers from various avenues including from community colleges and on improving the pedagogical content knowledge of future physics teachers.
