Dr. Meghan Murphy teaches Sociology of Education, Gender and Sexuality, Research Methods, and Introduction to Sociology. Her main areas of study include the sociology of education, social theory, and gender and sexuality. Her most current research examines the intersections of gender identity and sexuality in educational settings. She has published research about organizational culture and its Influence on teachers’ support of openly Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Students and the college experience of first-generation students attending a comprehensive University. When she is not at school, she enjoys practicing yoga, skiing, and spending time with her dogs Cody and Henry.
