Susan H. Gray is an Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Co-Chair of the CSD Graduate Program. A licensed K-8 Teacher, Reading Specialist and Speech Language Pathologist, she holds a BS in Elementary Education from Boston University, an MEd in Reading and Language from Harvard University, an MS in Communication Disorders, and a PhD in Speech Language Hearing Sciences from the City University of New York Graduate Center. She has worked in a variety of settings including the Lexington Public Schools, the American School of Valencia, Spain and the Massachusetts General Hospital. Prior to teaching at Bridgewater, she was on the clinical faculty of the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She teaches courses in Language Acquisition, Language Development in Young Children, Linguistics, Child Language Disorders and School-Age Language and Literacy Disorders. Her research on morphological awareness and literacy has been published in Reading and Writing and Adult Literacy Education: The International Journal of Literacy, Language, and Numeracy.
