The Safe Zone 2.0 program prepares participants to be effective allies to LGBTQIA+ people. Attendees will participate in activities and discussions aimed at increasing knowledge of:
- Inclusive terminology
- High Impact practices for supporting LGBTQIA+ student success
- Barriers to LGBTQIA+ student success
- Specific impacts for those with intersecting identities, such as LGBTQIA+ people of color
- How to be an active ally
- Putting application into practice
Safe Zone 2.0 trainings are held throughout each semester and are open to all members of the BSU community.
