Actuarial Science Minor

Find great odds of success with an actuarial science minor from BSU

If you’re looking at actuarial programs and actuarial schools, Bridgewater State University’s actuarial science minor is a program worth paying attention to.

Actuaries are experts in predicting and managing risk. They do it through a mix of data, analysis, business knowledge and a keen understanding of human behavior. The insurance industry can’t exist without actuaries calculating the odds of events, which dictates how rates are set.

But actuaries are needed in many other public and private institutions as well, from colleges and universities to banks and investment firms to labor unions and accounting companies.

The actuarial science minor at BSU draws from high-level mathematics and finance courses and is ideally suited for mathematics majors or accounting and finance majors interested in preparing for the actuarial science exam and in pursuing an actuarial career.
