Through collaboration with the Nature Conservancy, Horsley Witten consultants and the Taunton River Watershed Project, Bridgewater State University has a Low Impact Design (LID) demonstration project at the Mohler-Faria Science and Mathematics Center that uses bioremediation and storm-water recharge to decrease the impact of parking lot runoff. Storm-water monitoring was included in the design as an educational demonstration project and resource for area educators to engage students in science exploration and resource stewardship through watershed studies.
