Joseph D'Adamo

Joseph D'Adamo is a Certified Public Accountant who began professional work as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in Boston with clients in manufacturing, communications, financial services, not-for-profit education, and local governments. Other work experience in accounting and finance includes financial management positions with a manufacturing firm and a large membership-based not-for-profit entity, as well as extensive work as a small business consultant.

Professor D'Adamo has over 40 years of teaching experience beginning as a graduate student at Indiana University and continuing full-time at Providence College and the University of Rhode Island beginning in 1986. He began teaching part-time at Bridgewater State in 1985 and joined the full-time faculty of the Accounting and Finance Department in the fall of 2020.

His main teaching interests are in financial accounting, managerial accounting, internal controls, accounting systems, and data analytics. He was a competitive volleyball player. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys all genres of music, especially, dance, deep house, and EDM.
